Happy New Year! Here’s to a great 2024 for everyone.

The Mats Soccer Club was formed in the Summer of 2023 – In a short period of time, much has been accomplished. We feel very positive about where the Mats Soccer Club currently stands; we also look forward to continued progress as our Club matures.
To date our most notable accomplishments have been:

• >95% of Mats families paid MSC dues for the 23/24 season (THANK YOU!!!)
• Coach Compensation Amplification & compensation for Coaches who had previously been on an unpaid volunteer basis.
• Boys/Girls Mats Soccer Kickoff Party (150+ in attendance).
• Trace Video System for Boys/Girls JV and Varsity Teams.
• Implementation of TeamSnap for all teams.
• Formation of the MSC Players Council
• Last, but not least, starting the week of January 15 we will have bi-weekly Goalie Specific training led by a Goalie Coach.

None of this would be possible without the strong support of the Miramonte High School Soccer Parent, Player, Alumni and Fan Community. Thank you all for working with the MSC to cultivate an outstanding present and future for the Girls and Boys Matador Soccer teams. THANK YOU for your generous contributions and additional donations to the MSC. Your cash donations are much appreciated and will go a long way to building a great future for Miramonte Soccer.

The MSC would like to acknowledge Coach Taylor Abbott, Coach Masood Ahmadi and Girls Varsity Team Managers Paul and Kim White and Boys Varsity Team Managers Lisa and Brant Ballantyne, these individuals have worked closely with the MSC throughout 2023. The launch of the MSC non-profit added to their workload’s this year and they have taken it in stride. These individuals have generously offered their thoughts and time to help make our launch successful, THANK YOU.

Lastly, if you had a New Years Resolution to get more involved in your community – the Mats Soccer Club may be the place for you! We are looking for two to three more individuals to join our board. If you are passionate about Mats Soccer and might also be skilled in compliance (help to keep non-profit records in order), tax filings or any other skills that may help to assure the future success of the MSC please direct message us (or talk to Kasey Stevens, Monica Fitzsimmons or James Jenkins at a future Soccer Game. Our board is a lean group, that acts fast and is driven by efficient use of board member’s time.
