Public school funding for extracurricular activities is becoming more and more of a challenge.  The Mats Soccer Club was founded and is governed by a passionate group of families who are committed to providing supplemental funding to both the Girls and Boys Soccer Programs at MHS.  By the time that kids reach high school many will have dedicated up to ten years of their lives to the game of Soccer.  We believe that the High School years for our players should be outstanding.  The Mats Soccer Club plans to provide funding for several initiatives.  Initially the most critical need is to increase our Coaches compensation.  We want to attract and retain the best Coaches possible.  The MSC also hopes to fund joint boys and girls’ social events.  These will help to build a strong, fun, and memorable Soccer culture at MHS.  A final objective is to also provide experience enhancing equipment, technology and gear that might otherwise be unavailable to our program.  In essence the MSC is all about MHS’ players, coaches, and the soccer experience that they will have during their time at MHS.
