Mats Girls and Boys Kick Off Party was a Big Success!
On Sunday, November 18 the Mats Soccer Club hosted the second annual Mats Girls and Boys Soccer Kick Off party at the Wilder Art and Garden Center. We were thrilled to have almost 180+ Mats Athletes, Coaches, Families and Supporters in attendance. This event is a great Mats Soccer Culture building event. The boys Varsity Head Coach, Masood Ahmadi and the girls Varsity Head Coach Taylor Abbott both gave talks about the upcoming season and brought their team Captains to the stage to provide additional commentary about what to expect for the 2024/25 soccer season. Another highlight of the evening was the numerous raffle’s – this crowd loves to win! Lastly, the Mats Soccer community dug deep and together helped the Mats Soccer Club to raise more than $11,000 specifically to cover the cost to replace broken game goals at M Miramonte High School. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this effort. The generosity of the attendees was remarkable. Matador’s pride was in full effect. It takes a village to run a successful Soccer program. We are building something unique and special at Miramonte High School. The upcoming season is sure to be an exciting one for the 100+ girl and boy Soccer Players and their fans. Go MATS!
